Wheel Buckles

Wheel Buckles

A buckled alloy wheel is an issue whereby your alloy is bent out of shape and isn’t correctly aligned with your tyre. They are typically caused by driving over poor road conditions, potholes or hitting high kerbs.

Driving on a buckled alloy can cause significant damage to your steering and suspension systems, making it unsafe to drive and setting you up for a failed MOT if not corrected.

The most obvious signs of a buckled alloy wheel are:

  • Bends or dents in your alloys
  • Excessive shaking or vibrating when driving
  • Poor steering performance
  • Severe or unevenly worn tyres
  • Loss of air pressure (similar to a slow puncture)

If you aren’t sure whether your alloy is damaged or not, just bring it in to us and we’ll take a look for you.
